Happy New year to all.
This plugin is a small preview of the shadow system being developed for my upcoming Unified Battlers plugin. It applies soft, blurred, dynamic shadows to SV animated actor battlers, using the same shadow logic found in Unified Shadows & Light (ULSS). The system attaches the shadow directly to the battler sprite, so it moves cleanly with animations and never slides across the screen.

The demo also displays shadows under static enemies, but these are not tuned and may overlap or appear incorrectly. This is intentional — I don’t use static battlers in my own project, so they weren’t a focus for this early showcase.

What is supported. 

  • SV animated actor battlers (fully functional) used with Low's (Robert Pinero Battlers)
  • Static enemies (functional but not visually tuned)
  • SV animated enemy battlers (not supported in this demo)

    This demo utilizes the same shadow logic as ULSS and reads ULSS settings when available. It does not modify ULSS or require it — the integration is passive and non‑destructive.

    The parameter defaults are functional, not polished. Offsets, blur amounts, and scaling values are set so the demo “just works,” but they aren’t artist‑tuned or balanced for production use.

    This is not a final plugin. It’s a visual demonstration of the shadow behavior that will be fully integrated into the Unified Battlers system. If there’s enough interest, I’ll refine static battler support and expand compatibility.
